The NOAA Office of Space Commerce (OSC) is interested in conducting a new pathfinder project for the Traffic Coordination System for Space (TraCSS). The pathfinder would investigate commercially available capabilities for the identification and cataloging of space objects immediately after their launch and deployment.

Today OSC released for public comment a draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for a Collision Avoidance (COLA) Gap Pathfinder. The draft is available on the GSA Global Data Marketplace (user account required) or upon request to tracss.commerce@noaa.gov.

Comments are due March 15, 2025. They can be submitted on the Global Data Marketplace via a message or zero-cost proposal to the order.

The COLA Gap Pathfinder will be executed through the Global Data Marketplace and is anticipated to start in late spring or early summer of 2025.
