The Office of Space Commerce (OSC), in partnership with the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), will host the “Commercial Space Supply Chain Forum” on August 18, 2026, at AIA headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.

The forum is the second in OSC’s “Commercial Space Competitiveness Forum” series, designed to strengthen the connection between the commercial space ecosystem and the federal government.

The U.S. commercial space industry is growing rapidly, but that growth depends on an industrial base capable of keeping pace. Suppliers, manufacturers, integrators, and emerging technology companies face a range of interconnected challenges – from demand visibility and manufacturing capacity to component availability, testing and qualification, access to capital, and regulatory and compliance pressures.

The Commercial Space Supply Chain Forum will bring together industry and government to examine these conditions through evidence-based discussions, panels, and hands-on working sessions.

The Forum intends to identify practical policy priorities and actions that can strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of the U.S. commercial space industrial base.

Forum discussions will address key issues affecting the commercial space industrial base, including:

  • Domestic manufacturing capacity
  • Tier 2 and Tier 3 supplier constraints
